The Fairgrounds will open 3 p.m. to midnight on this half-day at the Fair. Discounted admission and unlimited ride wristbands are two features of this day.

Youth Celebration Day
Monday, Oct. 15
Youth and school groups are encouraged to attend the fair on Monday, Oct. 15. Special admission packages are available for groups of 40 or more, if purchased before Oct. 11.

Tuesday, Oct. 16
9-11 a.m., Dorton Arena
Senior adults aged 65 and older are feted with a free breakfast and entertainment at the Senior Citizen Fun Festival in Dorton Arena from 9 to 11 a.m.

Wednesday, Oct. 17
The 2012 N.C. State Fair will pay tribute to members of the U.S. Military for their service to the country. The USO, Veteran Service Administration and branches of the military will be on site.

Fairgoers can bring four cans of food to the N.C. State Fair on
Thursday, Oct. 18, to exchange for one free admission ticket.
