Soil and Water Conservation Exhibit

You've seen these blue and yellow signs across the state, so hop across the pond at the fair and learn what it's all about and how North Carolina's Soil and Water Conservation Districts affect your life every day.


Cross the bridge behind Heritage Circle to enter the N.C. State Fair Soil and Water Conservation District. The district tents are located aross from Smokey Bear, and are open daily during the fair from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.


Enter through the soil tunnel to see what’s beneath your feet and learn about what’s living in your soils.


Spin the wheel of conservation and test your knowledge about North Carolina’s natural resources.


Mobile Soils Classroom

Join us for daily demonstrations in the new Mobile Soils Classroom to learn more about soils.


Weekdays 11 a.m. & 3 p.m.

Weekends 10 a.m., 1 p.m., 4 p.m.

Drawing will be held at the NCASWCD meeting in Greensboro
on January 6, 2016. (Need not be present to win. Winner is responsible for applicable taxes, fees and shipment.)
