Chock full of Got to Be NC producers, it’s everything you’ve come to know and love about the traditional tented space outside of the Scott Building…but on a *massive* scale! From local products to farmer spotlights, a cooking demonstration stage to pop-up competitions, the Got to Be NC Pavilion’s going to be a highlight of your visit to the Fair. Not only can you learn how North Carolina’s agricultural diversity impacts your life every day, but you can also taste and purchase products developed by your neighbors right here in North Carolina.
Open daily from 9 a.m. to 9:45 p.m., except on Thursday, Oct. 13 when the exhibit will open at 12 p.m.

You are invited to join in all the fun as food and travel writer and local food lover, Heidi Billotto of HeidiBillottoFood.com and Got to Be NC's own Chef Chad Blackwelder, host the Got to Be NC Cooking Stage inside Dorton Arena at the NC State Fair, October 13-23, 2022.
Fairgoers will enjoy three chef-driven cooking demonstrations each day of the fair as the watch the preparation of new recipes featuring local product, produce and proteins at each demo. Seating is available, and fairgoers can expect giveaways, trivia contests and a chance to go up onstage to eat with our featured chefs onstage.
Chefs from across the state, from the mountains to the coast, will share recipes and show you how to cook, eat and drink with locally sourced North Carolina ingredients.
At each demo, four lucky people from the crowd will get to join host Heidi Billotto and NC Department of Agriculture's Chad Blackwelder onstage to sit at the best seat in the house. Our Chefs’ Table participants will enjoy a ringside view of all the action, get photos taken with each presenting chefs and enjoy plated portions of each of the dishes created during each individual demo. There will be chefs’ table gift bags as well.
Cooking demos will run 45 mins to an hour. Recipes will be available online. Here's the lineup:
