The Flea Market reopens on Saturday, Nov. 9 and is open 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. every Saturday and Sunday. Each weekend, the Commercial and Education buildings, the Shoppes at Dorton and the outside grounds are host to hundreds of dealers, craftsmen, and booths. The Flea Market will be open regular hours on Thanksgiving weekend, but will NOT be open Friday, Nov. 29.

Capital Area Handbell Festival
Hundred of handbell ringers from throughout the region will come together to work with clinician Fred Gramann, Director of Music at the American Church in Paris for the 31st Annual Capital Area Handbell Festival! Five pieces (plus an optional piece) will be rehearsed in preparation for a Free Public concert at 4 p.m. on Saturday. This festival will include OVER 300 handbell ringers from several States who will join together for two days of ringing and learning under a nationally-known handbell clinician. The festival is produced and run by The Raleigh Ringers - registration fee is required for festival participants. Workshop early registration participation fee $42/person; $47/person after Oct.16. Workshop: Friday hours are 6 - 10 p.m.; Saturday from 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. The final PUBLIC concert at 4 p.m. is open to the public and FREE admission. www.rr.org

The 78th Annual North Carolina Gourd Arts & Crafts Festival features a variety of growing, crafting, and artistic competitions as well as gourd crafting workshops and vendors of gourd crafts, dried gourds, seeds, books, t-shirts and gourd crafting supplies.
