1/31-2/2 Southern Farm Show
The largest agriculture exposition in the Carolinas and Virginia. A major expansion onto the midway of the NC State Fairgrounds means even more equipment, experts and ideas. Filling the NC State Fairgrounds, the show features over 500 manufacturers with expert advice and the latest farm equipment, supplies and services. Events include the FFA tractor and truck driving competitions, the annual meeting of the Tobacco Growers Association of NC, and the Southern National Draft Horse Pull (see separate listings below). Hours are 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. daily. Free admission

2018 NC Ag Development Forum
The N.C. Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services is hosting this event aimed at farmers and agribusinesses on Feb. 3 in the Holshouser Building at the State Fairgrounds.
The 13th annual Agricultural Development Forum will focus on N.C. farm families’ preparation for the future and innovative solutions to hunger and food insecurity. It will take place from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
Troxler will deliver his annual State of Agriculture address. Admission is free, but registration is requested by Jan. 30. Register online at Individuals with questions may contact Christina Waggett at 919-707-3008.

2 Southern National Draft Horse Pull
Giant percheron and belgian draft horses from across the nation compete for prize money. Pre-show entertainment includes horse-drawn equipment demonstrations, and Coon Mule Jump. Doors open at 5 p.m. - Event begins at 6:00 p.m. Admission: $10 advance purchase (available at the Graham Building during the Southern Farm Show on February 1 through February 3) or $12 at the door.

TET Festival (Vietnamese New Year Celebration)
The Vietnamese American Association of Raleigh presents its annual cultural celebration featuring cultural foods, vendors martial arts demonstrations and traditional musical performances.

The Vietnamese-American Association of Raleigh is hosting its annual Tết celebration. Please come and join us to celebrate the Vietnamese New Year. There will be cultural performances, martial arts, lion dance, traditional Vietnamese food, and children's games/prizes. It is a fun, family event to learn about Vietnam and ring in the year of the Dog.
