Dixie Deer Classic
Deer Hunters Convention. Wake County Wildlife Club presents their 38th annual event designed to offer the latest in hunting equipment from more than 200 vendors. Seminars, displays, trophy scoring, and archery competition. Special Guests TBA. Over $50,000 in hunting gear and prizes given away each year. Plus the NC State Championship Turkey Calling Contest will be held in the Dixie Deer Classic on Saturday. Hours are Friday 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.; Saturday 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.; and Sunday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Admission is $12 for age 13 and older (get your hand stamped for return admission good all 3 days), children 12 and under are admitted free. 13 Persian New Year Celebration (ICSNC Nowruz)
Persian New Year starts on the 1st day of the Spring. Traditionally Persians celebrate the last Tuesday night of the year which is called Chaharshanbe-Souri or the Wednesday Feast. Discover Indian cultural arts through dance, music, cultural cuisine, and traditional crafts in a Bazaar-style atmosphere in the our expanded location at the Exposition Center. Discover the Dinosaurs: Time Trek

It’s family expedition time! At Discover the Dinosaurs: Time Trek, you’ll be transported through our special Time Lab where you can observe enormous prehistoric dinosaurs and glimpse at mythological, magical dragons. This experience is all about hands-on family fun! Kids will love the larger-than-life creatures, and activities like Design-a-Dino, Prehistoric Poop, or the Race Through Time Labyrinth will keep everyone entertained. Families can compete in the Cretaceous Challenge Zone, visit the Time Trek Theater to meet baby dinosaurs, and test their dino-knowledge in our family and individual trivia contests. Even see a Dino skeleton come to life!

PLUS at our Dragon Edition events, we’ve incorporated famous dragons and lore from three very distinct cultures – dragon legends are thought to have started with the discovery of unknown dinosaur fossils!

Championship Purebred AKC event - registered dogs will compete each day in championship dog shows, obedience and rally trials.  A different Kennel Club hosts competitions each day. The schedule is:
Wednesday - Cary Kennel Club;
Thursday - Alamance Kennel Club;
Friday - Durham Kennel Club;
Saturday - Raleigh Kennel Club;
and Sunday - Fayetteville Kennel Club.  Hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day. Admission on Saturday, Mar. 24 and Sunday Mar. 25 is $5 for adults, $2 for kids 7-12 and Senior Citizens, Children under 7 admitted free.

Equestrian Exchange Consignment Sale
Equestrian Exchange Tack Consignment Sale is North Carolina's largest equine item consignment sale. It offers the opportunity to buy and sell any equestrian tack, saddles, show clothing, barn supplies, horsewear and riding needs for all disciplines of riding.
