The Flea Market is open 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. every Saturday and Sunday. Each weekend, the Commercial and Education buildings and the outside grounds are host to hundreds of dealers, craftsmen, and booths. The Flea Market outdoor vendors will be open on Friday - May 18 between 12 noon - 6 pm during the 2012 GOT TO BE NC FESTIVAL.

5 Young Champions Karate & Cheer State Competitions
The cheer competition for ages 4-14 will be held from 9:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Karate competition begins at 3:00 pm. Spectator Admission is free. Classes are offered year-round to promote physical fitness, good sportsmanship, confidence and competitive spirit and competitions are held each session.

NC Persian Festival
Join us for the 2nd Persian Festival in North Carolina - a celebration of Persian culture and cuisine sponsored by Iranian Culture Society of NC features Persian dances performances, live music, art, food, cultural exhibits, handicrafts, silent auction and vendor exhibits for entire family to enjoy. Mid Atlantic Hound Association Dog Show
AKC registered dogs in the breeds included in the Hound Group are eligible for entry. Entries close on Wed. April 16 at the Superintendent's office. Non-entered dogs are not permitted in the building. Event Hours are 8 am - 5 pm. Admission for spectators is FREE. Baby carriages and strollers are not permitted in the building.

The Carolina Rollergirls brings back the explosive excitement of flat-track roller derby in their 2012 season with a special event, the "Got to be NC" Derby Expo featuring a full day of North Carolina teams in competition from 10 am - 10 pm! GOT TO BE NC FEST 

Celebrate North Carolina as we "Spring into Summer" during the 5th annual Got to be NC Festival, May 18-20! CAROLINA FIBER FEST - TRADITION WITH A NEW TWIST
Part of Got To Be NC Agfest - Free Admission.
Features the Alpacae Fleece Show, the Fastest Needles and Fastest Wheel Contests, the Skeen & Garmet Competitions, Authors Book Signing with noted authors Marcy Smith, Allie Pleiter, Charles Gandy, Jane Edwards & Renee Pappas, and Carol Leigh Brack-Kaiser. Friday is ‘Green Day – visitors wearing or carrying an item made from recycled or repurposed materials compete for a purse made of recycled silk on display at the Fiber Arts Village. A must see is the Embellished Sock Fashion Show on Saturday, and Sunday’s schedule includes a Men’s Meet-up for craft projects at 10:30 am and a Ravelers Meet-up at 1pm. Along with great fiber shopping opportunities and workshops throughout each day, you can buy a chance on a raffle to benefit the American Livestock Breeds Conservancy.
