This is Wake County Library's annual book sale with more than 200,000 books.
This popular event gives visitors the opportunity to pick up some favorite books—and discover new reads—at great prices. The books are in good condition. Some are pulled out of circulation, and others come from donations library locations already have duplicate copies. Prices Plenty of bestsellers are up for grabs, as well as cookbooks, textbooks and books on history and religion. Cash, checks and all major credit cards accepted. Free admission. Hours and Prices:

All Wake County Public School System (WCPSS) teachers and media specialists with a current WCPSS ID are invited to attend the Wake County Public Library Book Sale and select two free boxes of books for classroom use. Boxes will be available, but teachers are encouraged to bring carts to carry boxes to their cars. Teachers must show a current WCPSS badge to receive the free boxes. This year, in lieu of a teacher pre-sale, the book sale will open early and WCPSS teachers and media specialists are invited to attend the sale at any time during the public hours.

Model railroad show and sale sponsored by Neuse River Valley Model Railroad Club, a non-profit educational organization chartered to promote the hobby of model railroading.Operating layouts on display with many vendors selling train related merchandise. The safety of our visitors has always been our first priority. For that reason, the 2020 Got to Be NC Festival is canceled.

The festival is a labor of love for the entire N.C. Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services. We know how much our community enjoys coming out and getting a taste of what North Carolina agriculture is all about. It’s a highlight of the spring for our staff, vendors, sponsors and entertainers as well. We look forward to welcoming you back to the fairgrounds when it is safe for us all to gather.

Celebrate North Carolina as we "Spring into Summer" during the 13th annual Got to be NC Festival, May 15-17! Come enjoy a mix of food, music, carnival rides and games, antique farm equipment and grandstand entertainment. And best of all, gate admission is free for all ages! Come sample and buy food, beer and wine from dozens of North Carolina companies in the Got to be NC Homegrown Marketplace at the Exposition Center (admission required - get redeemable coupons at door), enjoy the free Festival Music Stage with Bluegrass Competition on Saturday, and treat your kids to the pony rides, racing pigs and a Kidz Corral Activity Zone. Don't miss the fun at Heritage Plaza and in the new Heritage Arts Corner with heritage demonstrations inside of the Graham Building. How about a daily tractor parade of the antique tractors on hand? This is the 47th year of the Southern States Regional Morgan Horse Show. This is a world class event with 200+ Morgans from across the US traveling to compete in divisions ranging from Hunt and Classic Pleasure to English and Park classes both under saddle and in harness. There are also dressage trail and carriage classes as well as vendors displaying a variety of unique equine gifts - Fun for all ages! Public invited. Spectators Free Admission.

Youth Livestock Show including steer and breed shows, showmanship competition, skill development, leadership development, and family activities that involve cattle. The North Carolina Junior Beef Round-Up is planned and run by a group of juniors from throughout North Carolina, their breed advisors, the Purebred Breeders Council, the North Carolina Cattlemen's Association and the NCSU 4-H and Youth Livestock Department. Unleashed's 7th Annual K9 Spring Fling dog and cat fundraiser! A family-friendly fun Spring celebration full of good times for good causes. This event is focused on helping local area animal rescue groups. Many rescues will be there along with local vendors. and games. The most popular event is the largest Doggie Easter Egg Hunt around with thousands of eggs filled with special prizes! Donations for local rescue groups appreciated.
