Kennel Club Dog Shows-Tarheel
Labor Day Cluster
AKC (American Kennel Club) registered dogs will compete each day for points
leading to championships, as well as dog obedience trials for degrees and
obedience championship points. Championship all breed dog show, obedience
and rally trials - a different Kennel Club hosts competitions each day.
The schedule is: Friday, Alamance Kennel Club; Saturday, Durham Kennel
Club; Sunday, Raleigh Kennel Club, and Monday, Cary Kennel Club. Hours
are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day. Admission for Saturday, Sunday, and Monday
is $5.00 for adults, $2.00 for senior adults and children 7-11 years of

DogGoneFast Flyball Club Flyball Tournament
Flyball is a fast-paced family-oriented dog sport that has become a hit on
Animal Planet and ESPN's Great Outdoor Games. Dogs and people alike go
wild over this relay race with 4 dogs per team. Each dog jumps 4 hurdles
and steps on a spring loaded box, which shoots out a tennis ball. The dog
catches the ball and runs back over the 4 hurdles. When the dog crosses
the starting line the next dog goes. The first team to have all 4 dogs
run without errors wins the heat. Sat. 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. and Sunday 9 a.m.
