The Flea Market is open 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. every Saturday and Sunday. Each weekend, the Commercial and Education buildings, the Shoppes at Dorton and the outside grounds are host to hundreds of dealers, craftsmen, and booths.
The Flea Market will close Sunday, Sept. 24, in preparation of the annual State Fair and reopen on Saturday, Nov. 4.

Equestrian Exchange Consignment Sale
Equestrian Exchange Tack Consignment Sale is North Carolina's largest equine item consignment sale. It offers the opportunity to buy and sell any equestrian tack, saddles, show clothing, barn supplies, horsewaer and riding needs for all disciplines of riding. New bar code tagging system - refer to website for all details. Consignors earn 75% of all sold and shop before public. Anything related to the equestrian sport is represented at this sale. Barn supplies, show clothing and more! Encourage all non-profit horse progrms and equestrian camps to be involved in buying and selling horse items. Large items such as carts, wagons welcome.
Receiving dates: (Consignors drop off your items) Tuesday-August 29 from 10 a.m.-9 p.m. Large Volume Consignors 150+ items call for appointment. Pick-up unsold items Wednesday 9/6 from 10 a.m. - 9 p.m. (this is a no shopping day).
Thursday 8/31 Volunteers Shop 12 Noon- 9 pm and Consignors shop 3 pm - 9 pm.; Also Volunteers may shop on Monday 9/4 from 10 am - 7 pm and Consignors from 11 am - 7 pm.
OPEN TO PUBLIC for Special Premier Shopping Night Thursday August 31 from 5 - 9 p.m. with $10 (CASH ONLY) Admission.
FREE Admission on Friday thru Sunday 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Monday - Sept. 4 from 12 noon - 7 p.m. Some items marked half off on last day of sale. Please visit our website for additional event details.

1-4 Kennel Club Dog Shows-Tarheel Labor Day Cluster
AKC (American Kennel Club) registered dogs will compete each day for points leading to championships, as well as dog obedience trials for degrees and obedience championship points.  Championship all breed dog show, obedience and rally trials - a different Kennel Club hosts competitions each day. The schedule is: Friday, Alamance Kennel Club; Saturday, Durham Kennel Club; Sunday, Raleigh Kennel Club, and Monday, Cary Kennel Club. Hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day. Admission for Saturday, Sunday, and Monday is $5.00 for adults, $2.00 for senior adults and children 7-11 years of age. Free admission with military ID and for children under 7 years of age. Special outdoor attraction each day: North American Dock Diving Dogs - bring your dog (and current health records) to participate. This is a free spectator attraction sponsored by AKC and located outside the South end of the Graham Building near Hillsborough Street.

1-4 Treasures of the Earth Gem, Mineral & Jewelry Show
This show offers a vast array of precious and semi-precious gem stones, pearls, beads and findings, minerals, fossils, and finished jewelry in gold and silver including 14K, 18K and platinum fine jewelry, custom designs, fashion jewelry, handcrafted and sterling silver. Wirewrappers and jewelers on site.Various discounts offered by vendors. Admission: Adults $5 general admission $1 discount with website coupon or mailer - under 16 admitted free. Show hours: Friday: noon - 6 p.m., Saturday: 10 a.m. - 5 p.m.; Sunday: 10 a.m. - 5 p.m.; Monday: 10 a.m. - 4 p.m.

9 Unity In The Community Day
The Light 103.9 FM, The Triangle’s Inspiration Station, is hosting its annual Unity in the Community Day on September 10th to honor our service men and women. This event was created in 2002, in wake of the September 11th attacks, as a way to salute our service men and women for the many sacrifices that they make to help keep us safe. Please join us from 11am – 6pm for a day of family fun with vendors, activities for the kids, and an inspirational concert featuring both local and national recording artists. NC State Championship Horse Show
60th annual N.C. Championship Horse Show - a Charity event sponsored by The Raleigh Host Lions Club.
Morning sessions start each day at 10 am and are FREE spectator admission.
WHIPLASH will perform nightly during the 6 p.m. session of the Saddlebred Show. Tickets are $10 at the gate. Two Children ages 12 and under are admitted free with paying adult. Show dates:

NC Triangle Gujarati Association presents the TGA Navaratri. Triangle Gujarati Association (TGA) was created in 1988, to serve the Gujarati community in the Raleigh, Durham and Chapel Hill area of North Carolina. The goal of the organization is to promote and maintain the identity of Gujarati Culture and preserve our heritage. This event is a pre-Navaratri celebration and presents the traditional cultural line dancing from Gujarat, India. Daily Event Hours: 8 - 11 p.m. Admission TGA Member $12 and Non-Member $15.

16-17 Old North State Antique Gun & Military Collector Show
Antique guns, U.S. and foreign military arms and memorabilia exhibited, bought, sold, and traded - WWI, WWII, Civil War, and other conflict bought, sold and traded. Hours are Saturday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Admission is $8 for adults, $1 for children 6 -12 and free for children age 6 and under.

Get ready for a once-in-a-lifetime driving experience in North Carolina! Our Ferrari and Lamborghini Agility Experience is a 60-minute group-based experience that provides education-based instruction on driving an exotic supercar, drive 3 laps around our autocross course in a Ferrari 360 Modena or Lamborghini Gallardo, and the opportunity to meet fellow supercar enthusiasts. Flyball dog racing! Come out and watch the flyball dogs! Flyball is a fast-paced family-oriented dog sport that has become a hit on Animal Planet and ESPN's Great Outdoor Games. Dogs and people alike go wild over this relay race with 4 dogs per team. Each dog jumps 4 hurdles and steps on a spring loaded box, which shoots out a tennis ball. The dog catches the ball and runs back over the 4 hurdles. When the dog crosses the starting line the next dog goes. The first team to have all 4 dogs run without errors wins the heat. Sat. 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. and Sunday 9 a.m. - 2 p.m. Spectators and leashed dogs are welcome to come and watch. Free admission.

Antique to modern and collectible toys, sportscards & sports memorabilia,including Barbie, diecast and plastic models, Star Wars, Hot Wheels, Hallmark ornaments, Yu-gi-oh, Lord of Rings, Sci-Fi toys, western toys, NASCAR, etc. Over 70 exhibitors buying, selling & trading! Hunter Jumper Horse Show -Friday through Sunday. Daily show begins at 8:00 am. These shows are hunter horse shows with most of the competitors being from North Carolina. NCHJA "C" Rated Show to be held in 3 rings outdoors. Free spectator admission.
