Fine Arts & Photography Competitions: Professionals, Amateurs, Individual Students and Schools


Fees are $10 per entry in the Professional, Amateur and Individual Student competitions.

Professionals are allowed no more than two entries, and amateurs are allowed one entry.


Exhibits will be accepted in the Kerr Scott Building on fairgrounds, October 9-10, 2021.

Comp Rules

Online Entry Deadline: September 15, 2021 at 11:59 p.m.

Paper Entry Deadline: Must be postmarked by 5 p.m. or hand delivered by 4 p.m. on September 15, 2021.

Both paper and online entry forms will be accepted for professional, amateur, and individual student registrations.

At the end of your online registration, don't forget to click 'SUBMIT'. If not, your entry/entries will not be received.

Please note that entries mailed to 4285 Trinity Road will NOT be delivered to the fairgrounds. This is NOT a deliverable USPS address.


Exhibits will be released on October 25, 2021 from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Unclaimed art will become the property of the N.C. State Fair.



Lot number category descriptions appearing online are abbreviated due to space limitations. Refer to the online premium book for a complete description of all lot number categories in each department before registering online.


Exhibitors who choose NOT to disclose their full Social Security Number at the time of registration (paper entry forms or online), even if they have submitted an entry in the past, forfeit any and all premium monies they may be entitled to.
